Michelle “Bombshell” McGee recently told our Pop Tarts column that she and Jesse James have not been in contact and have no plans of reconnecting, and now we know why. James is engaged to tattoo artist Kat Von D, People magazine reports.
James, 41, began dating the “LA Ink” star last summer following the collapse of his marriage to Sandra Bullock after a series of alleged affairs, reportedly including one with McGee.
But in a statement to People, James says he is ready to move on with his life with Von D, 28.
"You know sometimes the public and press gets it wrong. This is one of those times. 2010 was actually the best year of my life because I fell in love with my best friend. An amazing woman who stood behind me when the world turned their backs," James told the magazine. "I have never met anyone so kind and loving and committed to making the world a better place every day. My love for her is beyond description. So honored that she said 'yes.' Growing old with her is going to be a f----n' blast!"
Von D gushed to the magazine that there is “no one else” for her.
“He’s the one,” she said.
